The Erie County Health Department, Kaptur - Rogowski House was developed through their regular communtiy assessment program. A large request has been for mental and behavioral health programs. The participants in the Erie County Detox facility articulated the the need for a program to properly assess their needs before entering into an addiction recovery program; some may need coaching, out-patient therapy, others full-time programs to move forward with their life. Kaptur House has been designed to fill this need. Guests come voluntarily, discuss their needs with counselors, and receive assistance developing their plan while staying for a short time period, typically 5-7 days.

High Performance Exterior Building Shell
2-Day Wall & Vaulted Ceiling Installation
Energy Efficiencies:
The GST was suggested as a high performance building shell system with True R-30 walls and R-50 when ECHD noted a recent event where power was lost for (4) days due to a winter storm. This system speeds up the building instatlltion process, helps maintain internal building temperatures for a lengthy time while significantly lowering mechanical equipment sizing and operational costs. The building cost data will be added later in early 2025.
This collaboration of Schmid Architects, TEC Engineering, Konsentriks (Interior Design) and ECHD produced a facility to add one more piece of the puzzle addressing the community needs. Erie County Health Department continues to upgrade and expand their facilities to meet all of the medical, dental, and behavioral health needs facing their community.
